Early Monday morning, while waiting to have blood drawn in my doctor’s office, I was scrolling through my Facebook news feed. One friend had posted about feeling heartbroken.

My little sister would name every dead animal that we came across. This is not how to grieve. This is not how to behave with animals.

They're all gone from this world. No graduations. No weddings. No questions to be answered.
