Dear Erin, I’m feeling used. I met a wonderful man four years ago who wound up asking me out. We've been together ever since. He is gentle, very intelligent, funny, a considerate lover, attentive, ambitious. Oh, and did I mention, he is married.

I’m in my early 20s and he’s in his 40s. He’s my 6-year-old brother’s best friend’s father. He’s old enough to be my dad too, actually. He’s got four kids — all with different moms (one who is my age).

We both want to make it an ongoing thing with this particular guy and he was also open. The problem is, when we were at the bar he showed us a picture on his phone, from a social media page. We looked him up later to add him, and he is engaged!

He’s pretty much exactly the kind of guy with whom I would want a long-term relationship. At least, that’s how I was feeling until yesterday, when he posted a picture of himself and some girl on Instagram, saying that he was so happy to be in love and celebrating his TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY with her!

She’s made all the mistakes, so you don’t have to.

In my mind, I was Beyoncé, and she was Becky. She was the one he needed to run back to. She was the one who could have his ass, because I was leaving and I wasn’t sorry about it.
Then Lemonade came out and the light bulb came on.

Dear Erin, I am a lesbian and am currently talking again to this girl who I’ve dated in the past. She and I dated for seven months, until I cheated on her (which was obviously messed up on my part). After we broke up, she started dating my best friend who is literally the same person as me.
