Guys, making friends as an adult is hard. I’ve always said that I wished there was “an app for that” when it came to making friends. Enter Bumble BFF.

It’s getting pretty serious between me and Pokemon GO... The deeper into the game I get, the more I notice that things are getting a little weird. Like, sex weird.

Having been born in 1982, I qualify as a member of the millennial generation, but just by a hair. Often, I feel like an old lady, sometimes the last to catch on to to the fads claimed by this group — and when I do, I fall hard. (I’m looking at you, leggings-as-pants.)

In the weeks since Pokemon GO was unleashed on the world, people have largely settled into two camps: people who love it and want to play all the time and people who think it’s stupid and make fun of the players. Say what you will, but the haters need to pay attention to the story I’m about to tell, because chasing Pokemon led one family to save a life.

With bottle feeding, you are able to fill the bottle with a very specific amount of formula or breast milk and are able to physically see how much Baby is taking at each feeding. With breastfeeding, that isn’t quite as easy. We know that they are eating, but we aren’t able to tell exactly how much — until now.

I’m sure the Pokemon Go phenomenon will fade before long, but for the moment, it’s just dumb FUN that might even be good for you. The game cannot fix and should not distract us from the shit-fucking terrible goddamn week we’ve had in the world, but it can remind us that we all need to practice self-care, whatever package it comes in.

It was only a matter of time before virtual reality brought us the sex toy of the future. That time, apparently, is now.
