There's an article currently being shared. It calls all of us apparently awful parents to action with a heafty load of good ol' fashioned parenting shaming.

Let’s face it: call outs sucks, no matter what it's about. It doesn’t help if you are in any way either mentally ill or neurodivergent.

He violated me and robbed me of an innocence I would never recover. He did this to me. Why did my sexual assault cause shame?

I’m not even a mother yet, but I’ve never felt as disparaged in my life as I do now, as a pregnant mom-to-be. To be shamed while pregnant is so upsetting.

I couldn’t imagine having to tell anyone that I was...divorced. It’s so silly when you really think about it: about 40-50% of marriages end in divorce.

It’s time we stop teaching shame and start spending more time fostering healthy sexual identities in young girls.

There are still parts of the world where women/vagina owners aren’t allowed inside their own home or community when they’re menstruating. They’re seen as impure. I believe the scientific term for all of this thinking is “total and utter bull.”

My happiness is what undid me, ironically. I worried so much about being OK with the happiness that I fell apart.
