Oh Hello, Mega Intense Missed Connection of the Day

There's something addictive about reading Craiglist's Missed Connections. The woes of heartbreak and raw human emotion are more tantalizing than the so-called "reality" TV shows that pepper TV Guide—if anyone actually still uses that. But amid the usual bevy of gems one was particularly sparkly today—in fact, we felt as though leapt right off our damn screens and singed our eyeballs. You can feel the gut wrenching pain expressed by the author. And on some level, everyone can identify with parts of what she wrote.

We're definitely going to include the whole bit, but here are the top three quotable lines:

1. "In retrospect, I went about it wrong. Well you did too."
2. "Sometimes, you crave foods in life that you have a memory with. I crave you."
3. "I try to remember the good. My heart is still healing."

We just want to give this sweet bitch a hug and a cold pint of Ben & Jerry's. (Curse you, emotions!)

On the bright side, reading random outbursts of devastation reminds us that we're not alone when dealing with a certain situation. And because of Craiglist's settings, we know nothing about the author... but sadly we all endure heartbreak and we'll all will get over it. (Mostly.) Here's hoping our friend here finds happiness!

See for yourself!

"Oh how I miss those eyes. I got lost in your eyes the first time we met.
I should have made you wait, but the passion between us was palpable.
In retrospect, I went about it wrong. Well you did too.
I understood you probably like no other woman did. I knew that you weren't looking for long term. Just someone to have fun with. Boy did we have fun. Even now when I wake up in the middle of the night with you on my mind, I hope you are thinking of me. About the taste of me. How it was with us. Incredible. Delicious. Passion that could not wait. It was always fulfilled with you. You were the one and only guy that could satisfy my sexual desires.
Sometimes, you crave foods in life that you have a memory with. I crave you.
You've moved on, even engaged to the gal you cheated on me with.
I guess bad sex and a not so good connection is something you can live with the rest of your life. God forbid if she ever gets sick or pregnant or has to be hospitalized. I know you won't stick by her side, because you left your wife, and then me. It doesn't get any easier knowing how we ended. You, searching out women while I was sick. Yeah, that part really bites. But I try to remember the good. My heart is still healing. I don't know that it ever will stop bleeding for you, as I was in love with you."
