Sean Spicer has resigned as White House Press Secretary, much to the dismay of Literally No One.

LGBTQ activists and the mayor of London have come up with a new, polite, inclusive opening for Tube announcements. Employees will now say “Hello everybody” as their opening phrase, rather than "ladies and gentlemen."

Americans deserve to vote without being unwittingly “nudged,” “tweaked,” or otherwise manipulated by those with the most power and most incentive to do so. Ergo, any candidate from Silicon Valley needs to be treated with an excess of skepticism.

The Russian meddling, the Kremlin favoring his father, the offer to provide information with material value to the Trump campaign. Did Donald Trump Jr. know it was illegal? I dunno. But he went ahead and did it all anyway.

Regardless of what the word around us may want you to believe, protest and resistance are two of the most patriotic things that a person can do. To desire better for yourself, your loved ones, your neighbors, and your country is a good thing

Fat shaming is wrong in any guise, and people who are trying to be funny (and/or trying to cover for a woefully incompetent press secretary) will just have to do better than relying on cheap stereotypes, shaming, and bigotry.

I think anyone who helps others embrace and love their body in order to change our societal standards of beauty is ultimately doing a good thing. But I am very uncomfortable with the way that some body positivity advocates take “body positivity” to mean “You can’t care about what you look like,” or “You can’t care about your weight,” or “You can’t ever try to lose weight” I want to ask: Why not?
